Between his 27-29th years, antihero Prince Slut feels the whole mojo of the circle of life disrupted by the return of Saturn to the place it occupied in the earth's sky the day he was born. The vibes are funky because he knows how much of a little shit he's been to the people he loves and people he couldn't love but wanted to. This pesky planet is causing flashbacks. He hates flashbacks. They're so cliched. So the Prince cuts off an ear. Like Peter in the garden and the soldier, if Peter had cut off his own ear in the garden that night. Like Van Gogh without the starry night. 'Maybe,' he thinks, 'self-mutilation can atone for being a little shit sometimes.'
